We are Travel Agents and Tour Operators based in the Valley of Gods – Kullu - Manali, Himachal Pradesh - India. We are recognised by the Governement and our registration number is 2-4/2000 - KLU-TD-170.

We at Himalayan Saga always try and employ local inhabitants to deliver the services to the guests. Apart from many other benefits of such an economic activity to the locals this practice also ensures that the monetary funds remain with the locals only. 

We specialize in organizing Hotel Reservations, Car Rentals, Rafting, Paragliding, Trekking, Jeep Safari, Camping and other adventure sports in Himachal Pradesh & Kashmir viz Kullu, Manali, Dharamsala, Shimla, Lahaul & Spiti, Kinnaur, Zanskar, Leh & Ladakh.

The entire Himalayan Saga team and tour operations is managed by a group of three people viz. Ritesh Sood, Neelam Kapur and Dev Raj Thakur. 

Ritesh, a native of Kullu valley is a professionally qualified and experienced tour operator. He stayed and completed his graduation in Science in Kullu. Later he shifted to Shimla, where he did a Masters Degree in Tourism Administration from the University. New Delhi, is the main tourism hub of India with most of Foreign Tourists arriving and departing India from there. Due to its importance most of the Tour Operators organizing tours in India have there head-quaters located in New Delhi. This attracted Ritesh and he later moved to Delhi. 

Ritesh worked in Delhi for three years. He has experience of Marketing and Organizing  various Tourism Products. His work experience also includes working for one of the leading Destination Management Companies of India - SITA World Travel (India) Limited. After having a brief exposure at New Delhi, Ritesh moved back to Kullu to work as a team member at Himalayan Saga. He is now responsible for the Marketing, Tour Operation and Product & Operation Development. He is in constant touch with the service providers and operations' team to design products according to guests requirement, deliver them in the same spirit and quality improvement. He has good contacts in Shimla, Dharamsala, Manali and other parts of Himachal, which makes him an ideal person to organize any kind of tour or activity in Himachal. Also his experience and contacts in New Delhi gives him an edge to handle tours even in others parts of India.      

Neelam, a native of Mc Leodganj (Dharamsala) is also a professionally qualified and experienced member of the Himalayan Saga team. She has studied in various parts of India and completed her Graduation in Science from Dharamsala. Apart from being a Science graduate, she is also a Bachelor in Education. After completing her double degrees in Graduation she joined the University in Shimla and completed a Master's Degree in  Tourism Administration. 

These qualification took Neelam to Jaipur where she joined the famed Oberoi Group Of Hotels at Rajvilas - An Oberoi Hotel. Rajvilas is the hotel where The President of The U.S.A. Mr. Bill Clinton stayed while he was in Jaipur. She worked there at the front office for three years and later shifted to New Delhi. She worked there for a while again at an Oberoi Hotel, The Oberoi, New Delhi. Her experience in the Hotel Industry and that too with the esteemed Oberoi Group Of Hotels, provides her the knowledge and experience of serving the guests with utmost care and dedication. As a member of The Himalayan Saga team she is responsible for Quality Control, Public Relations and Guest Relations.

Dev Raj, a member of a traditional family from the old Manali village. He has been residing in Manali since his birth and has wonderful contacts with the local service providers that includes Guides, Cooks, Porters, Horsemen and others. He has an experience of about ten years in organizing trekking expeditions and jeep safaris. He also has experience in the Accommodation Industry. He himself is a keen trekker & skier. He has done most of the treks in Kullu Valley and Lahaul & Spiti regions. He has also been regularly escorting trekking groups, which makes him an ideal Trekking Operator. 

At Himalayan Saga, Dev Raj is responsible for all the adventure activities including trekking, jeep safaris, camping, skiing and paragliding. Being a local himself, he maintains good contacts with the local service providers. He is also responsible for the Product & Operation Development, Liaison with the service providers and monitoring the other Tour Operation team members.
